October 2023 New Edition of One Sunny Day Released
Hideko's revised and updated edition of her 1996 memoir released by new publisher Oregon State University Press (OSU Press)! This poignant story of courage and resilience remains deeply relevant today, offering a profoundly personal testimony against the ongoing threat of nuclear warfare. -
August 2023 Hiroshima-Nagasaki Vigil

GLH Peace Tree Dedication
The Ginkgos planted two years ago at Klamath Falls High School were dedicated on May 20th. We have added more pictures of the tree and the event, including artwork made by the students. -
Peace Camellia Dedication in Ashland
The Camellia planted last March in the Japanese Garden in Lithia Park was been dedicated on May 13th. We have pictures of the tree and the formal tea ceremony held in the newly renovated Japanese Garden at Lithia park. Photosheet -

August 2022 Vigil
OSDI continues our involvement and sponsorship of Ashland's annual August Vigil to remember the victims of the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. This year's vigil coincided wth the dedication of a Green Legacy Peace Tree at Ashland's Thalden Pavilion.

January 2022 Newsletter
Work continues on our Green Legacy Hiroshima efforts with more Peace Tree dedications this year. Hideko's revisions to her memoir, the namesake of the organization, have been completed and she is working with an academic publisher to make the book available soon. -
